Wattle Festival 2025
The Hurstbridge Wattle Festival is held the last Sunday in August each year.
It’s a joyous celebration of our unique Australian heritage, environment and community.
It’s a chance for locals to come out of winter hibernation and celebrate the joys of living in Melbourne’s green wedge in the Diamond Valley. This annual event in Hurstbridge began in 2004 and has grown in strength each year. The 2020 & 2021 festivals moved online, trying to bring the joy of the festival to our community even during COVID. Available all year round, the online festival gave you the chance to explore the township of Hurstbridge - shops, community groups and activities.
In 2022 the festival returned to the streets of Hurstbridge with record breaking numbers estimated to be over 15,000 people. A true community event where every community space comes alive to celebrate spring and show what Hurstbridge has to offer.

Help us plan for the day by registering everyday objects too. This way we can try to match a fixer to your object:
https://events.humanitix.com/repair/tickets
Our handy fixers and tinkerers can help with clothing, new and old tech, small household furniture, sewing machines, blunt knives and scissors, mechanical garden equipment like lawnmowers, and miscellaneous broken household objects.
Kids are welcome to hang out at the Tinker Table. Have a go at pulling apart some simple objects, checking out how they work, and trying to put them back together!
Bring your broken items to the repair cafe for fixing and prevent them being sent to landfill. A friendly and talented bunch of repairers meet up the second Saturday of each month at the Hurstbridge Community Hub in Greysharps Road.
